After the "Folded Man" case of Prof. Sun, we are so proud to share another case of difficult tracheal intubation in an Ankylosing Spondylitis Chinese patient. Once again, UE Flexible Videoscope has successfully helped to solve the difficult intubation.
Case information: patient, male, 66 years old.
Preoperative diagnosis: 1, mixed cervical spondylosis, 2, ankylosing spondylitis (40 years)
Proposed surgery: cervical spine internal fixation.
Anesthesia examination: C-shaped spinal stiffness deformity, cervical backward elevation of only 10 degrees, 2 fingers of mouth opening, only hard palate visible; Mallampati classification: grade IV, 2 fingers of nail-chin spacing, belonging to the severe difficult airway.
